Dr Katherine Cook
Katherine Cook is a Senior Scientist who has been working for Scancell Ltd. for the past 5 years. Scancell aims to use vaccines to induce immune responses to cancer. Katherine’s focus is mainly on targeting neoepitopes that are produced as a consequence of post translation modifications within stressed cells. This involves identifying epitopes which are post translationally modified and presented on MHC-II on tumour and designing vaccines that target these epitopes. Prior to joining Scancell, Katherine completed a PhD at the University of Nottingham, UK which explored the T-cells response to Helicobacter pylori infection. These projects share a basis in CD4 T-cell mediated responses.
